Finally, a book that treats graphics with the care it deserves.

I have been working with graphics for a few years now and I still found plenty here that was new to me. I particularly liked the way the author builds up from simple cases before introducing the harder material. Some of the diagrams are dense and I had to reread a few sections, though that may just be me. One of those books that pays for itself within the first few chapters. Highly recommended.

I came to this book already familiar with the basics, and it still had plenty to offer. I found myself making notes in the margins, which is always a good sign. The balance between theory and practice is well judged; neither side dominates. Solid, and I would buy another book from this author without hesitation.

A couple of chapters felt like they could have been merged, but that is a minor complaint. Some terminology is introduced without much ceremony; I had to look a few things up along the way. If you have the prerequisites, this is an easy recommendation. I will be keeping it on my desk rather than the shelf.
